Happy Chinese Lunar New Year everyone!
Hope your year of the Ram will be prosperous, healthy and happy one!
I was cleaning up our living room deco to make more room for other festive decorations.
And of course whenever I start some major cleaning, I must go and look back my memory lane.
I had had a wonderful opportunity to get to know someone in the past that taught me how to weave Nantucket Baskets. I made quite a few!
I personally didn't think myself as a crafty person so I was very surprised that I got into basket weaving.
Though I stopped weaving Nantucket Baskets, my curiosity on baskets continued.
Those hand woven grass baskets are my souvenir from my last years' Alaska Cruising.
After I learned weaving Nantucket Baskets, I have a habit to see the bottom of baskets to see how it was weaved! Learning gave me a different prospective to observe, too.
And.... here are my babies! ↓
I got lots of help from my instructor to go through difficult steps to finish up my baskets.
I am not sure if I will ever get another opportunity to start making one of those, but certainly weaving is one of my therapy time.
Taking different type of classes allow me to learn more than what they actually teach. Through taking those classes, I am so appreciative to know wonderful instructors with great communication skills.
As of my profession requires, it is very important to have a great communication skill.
I am not yet perfect but I can certainly remind myself with those wonderful instructors communication and leadership skills.
One of the instructor that I highly respect always make eye contacts to ALL of the participants in her class. That eye contacts provide so much friendliness and welcome feel while being in her class.
I would really like to remind myself to do the same as that instructor did.
Anyways...when your intention to learn baskets, flower arrangement , etc., I have to realize that I can learn so much from the personality of instructor , too.
I am so blessed to know some wonderful ladies that I can highly respect as a person, too.

新年快楽！本日は春節祭の元旦にあたる日です。
去年もブログにＵＰしたかと思いますが、我が家では一年に二回
こんな形でお正月をお祝いしております。
さて、その旧正月の関係でリビングルームの飾りなどを少し整理していたのですが・・・
片付けが始まると、ついつい見入ってしまうのが、しまってあった思い出の品々。
上の二枚目と三枚目の画像は私がその昔、通っていた「ナンタケット・バスケット」教室で
編んだバスケット達です。
これも編んだわ～♪などと思い出に浸りながら見ていると時間だけはあっと言う間に過ぎてしまいます。
一枚目の画像のグラスバスケットは去年の夏のアラスカ・クルーズの時に唯一、自分のお土産として購入したものです。
ナンタケットとはまた違う編み方なバスケットですが、アラスカの現地のインディアンのハンドメイド。バスケットを編み始めてから、ついつい癖でバスケットを見ると底の部分（編み始め）を観察してしまいます。
ナンタケットバスケットとはまた違う網目の美しさにうっとりしてしまいます。
さて、今まで色々なお教室に通って、私の「ＭＥ タイム」の充実を図って来ましたが、各お教室で習って作る物の他にもっと大切な事も習って来たのだな～と最近思う様になりました。
私もそうですが、コンサルテーションの間、ワークショップの間はアイコンタクトを大切にしたいと思っております。
今まで通ってたお教室の先生方、また最近参加させて頂いたワークショップでのセラピストの方がお話しの途中でちゃんとアイコンタクトがあって、私の事も見て下さってるんだな～と実感する時、もっとしっかり聞こう、来て良かった！また来月のレッスンが楽しみ！なんて思ってしまいます。
普段のお友達同士のお喋りの時にでも、自分だけ話し手の視野の中に入ってないと実感した時ほど、心が曇る事はないかしら？たかがアイコンタクト・・・と思われがちですが、意外と簡単に出来ないんですよね。
お稽古の師から学ぶ事ってホント、沢山あります。
師として仰ぐのはモチロンですが、その方の女性として尊敬出来る部分が沢山な人と
お近づきになれた事が実は嬉しかったりもしますね。
毎日、不安定なお天気が続く、サンフランシスコ・ベイエリアですが、皆さんどうぞお身体ご自愛くださいませ。
