How are you coping with this storm in San Francisco bay area? Hope all of you are safe wherever you are.
I came down with cold symptom on New Year Day and I finally got better yesterday. There are tons of things I need to do to start my new year ritual, but I have one project that I am forced to choose...
My daughter has been taking ballet lesson since she was 5 years old. To be exact she started sort of dancing lesson when she was 3ish. ( Now she is 12.)
I took ballet lessons when I was little and it has been very fun experience to have a mutual interest with my own daughter.
So she finally got promoted to be in pointe class and needless to say she is so excited.
I, too was very happy but next thing I learn was how pricy those pointe shoes are!
Anyways, I would rather get her a new pair than letting her wear an uncomfortable shoes.
Here are my pointe shoes that my mom saved them for me for years! and my daughter's brand new pointe shoes ( top ).
My first (needle) project for 2016 is actually sawing ribbons to her brand new pointe shoes with pleasure and good old memory of my ballet days.

エルニーニョのいたずらでサンフランシスコ・ベイエリアはここ数日突如としてバケツをひっくり返した様な豪雨？ゲリラ豪雨が断続的に発生しております。どうぞお車を運転される際はお気を付けてくださいね。
さてさて、ＦＢの方でも懺悔をしたばかりですが・・・（苦笑）、私ったら極寒のロスアンジェルスから帰宅して大晦日～そして元旦の支度をこなしていたつもりだったのですが・・・元旦の夕飯をセッティングした後あたりから、何だか体が優れなくなってしまって・・・実は昨日まですっかり床に伏しておりました。
インフルエンザの注射（本当は点鼻薬）のお蔭か？発熱も無く、ただ体の節々が痛み、食欲も全くなく、恐ろしい程の悪寒と闘っておりました。（大げさですが・・・。）
やっと昨日から平常営業に戻れるくらいの体調になり、今日に至っております。
でも、なんとなくまだ本調子では無いので、お正月の番組なんぞを見ながらゆっくりさせて頂いております。
でもでも、毎年、年の初めにはやらなくてはならない事がわんさかあるのですが・・・・今年は表題の・・・・・娘のポワントシューズに関連する作業を仕事始めに選びました。
なんとなくバレエを始めたのが５歳の頃な娘ですが、かなりマイペースで細く長く続いております。ご指導して下さってる先生方にもとっても恵まれていて、幸せな子です。
その昔、私もバレエを習っていたのですが、実家の母が私のポワントシューズを大事にとっておいてくれてたのですが・・・残念ながら、娘には私のシューズは小さすぎる様です。
まわりのベテランママさん達からもお話には聞いておりましたが、ポワントシューズって直ぐに次が必要になるとは・・・・なので私の仕事始めはこのおニューのポワントのリボンを縫う事から始まっております。
成長期なので、どんどんサイズが変わったり練習量によっても新しいのに変えなくてはならないわけですよね。
さて、あともう少しで縫い終わりそうです。
皆さんの今年初のプロジェクト？仕事始めは？
また去年の秋のイベントについても常時ＵＰして参りますね。お楽しみに。
