Happy Friday, everyone.
I have so many events this past week, and I don't know which one to begin to share.....
But first, let me tell you where I and my daughter went last Friday.
As you recall, I , my daughter and middle son participated this year's San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade. And the group we belong got 3rd place on Specialty group.

As you recall, I , my daughter and middle son participated this year's San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade. And the group we belong got 3rd place on Specialty group.
And organizer of our group invited me and my daughter ( and my son, but he told me and my daughter that we could represent him..lol) to Award banquet.
Current San Francisco Mayor Mr. Ed Lee and former Mayor Mr. Willie Brown were there to present the award. As we got up on stage we paused for the media! ↓( can you spot me?)
It was such a precious and memorable experience over all! I can't thank enough to the organizer that is my friend ( parent friend through school ) for over 10 years! They are such a lovely couple that I can look up to. Thank you H and S for this wonderful experience!
I believe recognizing and appreciate one's ancestry culture is very important. So this whole experience and participation to San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade made my kids proud to be part of multi cultural family.

皆様、こんばんは♪
すっかり１週間経ってしまいましたが、先週の金曜日に出席して来たパーティのご報告です。
出席して来たのは・・・３月に娘が地元の団体と共に参加した
サンフランシスコ・チャイニーズ・ニューイヤーパレードで
グループがなんと３位を頂いてまして・・・そのアワードセレモニー・パーティだったんです。
すっかり１週間経ってしまいましたが、先週の金曜日に出席して来たパーティのご報告です。
出席して来たのは・・・３月に娘が地元の団体と共に参加した
サンフランシスコ・チャイニーズ・ニューイヤーパレードで
グループがなんと３位を頂いてまして・・・そのアワードセレモニー・パーティだったんです。
授与式には現サンフランシスコ市長のMr. Ed Lees氏と
前市長（随分前ですが。）Mr. Willie Brown氏の二名が
プレゼンターとしていらっしゃいました。
↑こんな感じでトロフィー代わりの額入りグループ写真を頂きました。
このパレードへの参加で、私も娘も次男も
なかなか経験出来ない貴重な体験をさせて頂きましたし、思い出も
沢山出来ました。
何よりも、（特に我が家の場合・・）チャイニーズのイベントに参加出来た事が
娘と次男にとって、とても有意義な物になったはずです。
このイベントの練習は今年の始めから毎週日曜日にあって、メンバーが多いので、
短時間で集中しての練習で参加している子達の真剣な眼差しがとても印象的でした。
メインのサンフランシスコでのパレードの前に、二つの市よりのリクエストで、
旧正月のイベントでパフォーマンスも披露する事が出来て、参加した子供たち全員がとても
良い経験が出来た様でした。
このイベントに誘ってくれたお友達は実は私にとって１０年来の（？いや？もっと長いかも！）
お友達夫妻で、おしどり夫婦で仲の良いお二人なのです。子育ての良き先輩として、色々な意味で尊敬出来るお二人なので、これからもなが～くお付き合いさせて頂きたいと思ってま～す。
最近はあまり市内に出かける事も少なくなりましたが・・・やはり
サンフランシスコのチャイナタウンは↑こんな感じの昔の良き中華街的な風景が
まだまだ沢山残っている素敵なところだな～と、すっかりお上りさん気分で家路につきました。
